Marketing Consultant | Founder of Social Graces Creative
With close to a decade of marketing experience, Grace specializes in driving revenue and strategic partnerships, and creating marketing strategies for both growing and established businesses and organizations.
Her initial dive into marketing began during her junior year of college, when she single handedly launched 3 debut singles as a singer/songwriter. With no label and a very limited marketing budget, she quickly came to the realization that the success of those singles was solely up to her. After diving deep into marketing strategy, she was able to go from #37 to #1 on the ReverbNation Country Chart, within a period of 9 months and also secured a major feature within Songwriting Magazine UK – all with virtually no ad dollars spent. After touring continuously for two years, averaging 50+ shows per year, she took a slight detour and joined the founding team of VocaliD. A Boston based health/tech startup that creates unique vocal identities for individuals who rely on text-to-speech devices to communicate.
Working with the founding team she secured voice drive partnerships with Harvard University and Timberland, initiated and submitted VocaliD for two awards within SXSW Innovation (VocaliD won for Health, Med & Bio Tech), wrote creative briefs for Saatchi & Saatchi New York, in conjunction with a joint project between VocaliD & their New York creatives, conducted 40+ interviews in one month for an NSF Phase II grant, which the company received totaling over $900k+ and aided in the strategy design for the companies first crowdfunding campaign, which raised $120K+. She also managed company press with major media outlets including NPR, BuzzFeed, HuffPost, BBC, and served as the sole onsite company representative within the 2015 MassChallenge Accelerator, where VocaliD placed as a Top 25 Finalist. While all of the company accolades were wonderful, at the end of the day the thing that mattered most was our client base and making sure we adequacy told their story, humanizing our brand, verse focusing on the technology.
Fast forward to August of 2015 and Grace took a leap of faith, left VocaliD and moved to Nashville, to focus on music and songwriting full time. Then a funny thing happened. Friends started coming to her to see if she’d be interested in handling the marketing for their upcoming projects – and Social Graces Creative was born! She found herself sitting in coffee shops between co-writes, designing marketing strategies for record releases and crowdfunding campaigns, creating partnerships between startups and musicians like ArtLifting and The Running Roots, while also designing social media campaigns, content and working on brand uniformity.
As an entrepreneur, singer/songwriter and independent artist, she understands just how difficult that road can be, which is why she genuinely loves working with artists and startups alike. During her time working in both sectors, Grace has found there is really no difference between the two. Both are competing against giants in their respective fields, both want to be the next major player and both operate a warped speed. The only primary difference between the two is funding accessibility, however with good marketing you can work around that one!
Equally adept at integrating products and services through strategic partnerships, digital platforms, PR and marketing initiatives, she works with growing and established businesses alike.
Grace graduated from Temple University in 2013 and holds a B.A. in Communications with a focus in Broadcast, Telecommunications and Mass Media.
